A Cappella, is the style of singing without musical accompanyment

About
Me
I don't put myself inside a box to be considered one type of singer.
My style of singing is a blend of different genres of music.
My love for music is universal
My Story
Hello, my name is Angela and I am a native of Reidsville, North Carolina. I have always had a passion for music, and a strong desire to sing. When I was a kid visiting my Grandmother, I would hear her hum all day. The resonance, the sound, the melody, it was so calming. I didn't realize I had developed that habit. My mother enjoyed all genres of music & taught my sister and I the same. Music had become second nature to me.
I remember....
"My 5th grade math teacher, Sue Faulkner, promised us that if we were good through out the entire week, we could have a talent show on Fridays. That excited all of us all. Although I was too shy to sing in front of the class, I was also inspired by the enormous amount of talent we had in that class. One Friday we asked Mrs. Faulkner to show us her talent. She sang one of the most beautiful songs I had ever heard. To this day, I can't remember the name of the song, but it intrigued me, it stuck with me. It inspired me more..."
At age 13 I started my formal training under Mr. James Major. I was encouraged by my school principal to audition for the North Carolina School of Arts. At age 15 I became the youngest student to be accepted in voice, and began training with Ms. Betty Lou Allen of the New York Opera Company.
I have since enjoyed performing many genres of music from Jazz, Blues, R&B, Pop to Classical.
